Last night Beyonce was spotted spreading holiday cheer and generous gift cards to the shoppers at a Walmart location 20 miles north of Boston, in the suburban town of Tewksbury. The locals who were doing some last minute holiday shopping at Walmart were in for a once in a lifetime treat, as the ‘Queen Bey’ herself was strolling through the superstore to pick up her latest dropped album, and to surprise unsuspecting shoppers.

Prior to headlining her Mrs. Carter Tour at TD Garden, Beyonce took over Walmart via the store intercom, and made the following announcement: “It’s Beyoncé. I stopped by the store today because my record just arrived. I want to send everyone a little gift. For everyone in the store right now, the first $50 of your holiday gifts are on me. Merry, merry Christmas from Beyoncé.” Beyonce’s generous contribution to the 750 Walmart shoppers made for a total of $37,500 in gift cards. Despite the headline hogging news that Target would not be carrying her latest surprise fifth album, Beyonce is making the most out of the stores that are. We can only hope that she will be making a surprise visit to our local Walmart!
