Canadian writer/director Paul Haggis’ latest film Third Person premiered last night in Toronto at the Elgin Theatre as part of Tiff, and we caught up with Maria Bello, one of the stars of the ensemble cast.
The movie is an interlocking love story that takes place in three cities, Rome, Paris and New York, and Maria told us that the cities are “probably my three favourite cities in the world. Besides Los Angeles where I live. ” Maria continued on to tell us however that they “shot everything in Rome. All my stuff with Mila and James takesplace in New York and Paris, but we shot it in Rome.” Of course that was fine with her “because it had great wine, great pasta and great a great cast.”
When talking about the director she said “Paul Haggis is a national treasure here in Canada.”
