Jude Law has filed a lawsuit against a Canadian fireplace company who allegedly used his image in ads without permission. According to the lawsuit, Paloform used Jude Law’s image on their website, Facebook and Pinterest accounts.
The Anna Karenina star is asking for payment for damages and for the company to stop using his image.
According to TMZ, Jude Law is described in the lawsuit as ”one of the most recognised, highly regarded, critically acclaimed, and commercially valuable motion picture actors in the world.”
As of right now, we can’t find Jude Law’s image on Paolform’s website or Facebook page, so they may have already gotten the message and taken his photo down.
This may be a part of Jude Law’s plan to re-establish his image since the fallout over his relationship with Sienna Miller. Although he cheated on Miller over seven years ago, he is still trying to rebuild his image with the public, according to a recent interview in Shortlist Magazine. He told the magazine ““I was dragged, kicking and screaming, into the swamp, the mire. To me it’s the shallowest form of judgement and analysis. I’m not interested in gutter-sniping; there’s too much good stuff going on. I was hoping to contribute to the good stuff and I felt as though I was suddenly pulled into this level of nonsense. I realised quickly I’d have to keep my head down and hope that the work would win out. It seems to have so far.” With his recent roles in Oscar nominated films Anna Karenina and Hugo, it seems Jude Law has remade himself just fine in the eyes of Hollywood.
