From outbursts against his bosses on radio programs, to the recent news that police paid a visit to his mansion Tuesday evening to take his children away after his ex obtained a restraining order against him, to a tell all interview on 20/20, Charlie Sheen is at the height of notoriety. Now People Magazine has put the troubled star on the cover of their latest issue.
“It’s not an act,” he tells People. “Here’s the good news: If I realize that I’m insane, then I’m okay with it. I’m not dangerous insane.”
People talks with the star in his home about his recent problems with Chuck Lorre, the man who helped create Two and a Half Men, to sharing his home with his two girlfriends Rachel Oberlin and Natalie Kenly, and his drinking problems.
He tells the magazine “I’m not interested in addiction, disease, all that crap. Twenty years they took from me. I just decided that I was going to think differently, that I was not going to believe anything I’d been taught.”
The saddest bit about the entire interview however is when he talks about his kids. ”There’s a feeling … that I haven’t spent enough time with them, and they’re getting older. Not the boys, but the girls. But rather than sitting here and going, ‘What have I done?’ I just change it.” With his ex wife having a restraining order against him, preventing him from coming within 100 yards of her of their children it will be tough seeing them. Granted his daughters were with Denise Richards, but still with the way he’s been acting it’s a safe bet that he won’t be seeing much of them either.
