Orange and coral lipstick shades have been popping up on models and celebs all season. These colours however, are considered by many to be challenging and somewhat hard to wear. They really shouldn’t be though. Orange and coral lipsticks can warm up and flatter many skin tones. Makeup artists do however, caution users to play around with different shades and if worried about bright shades, stick to peach-toned lip stains or lip glosses. It’s also advised that when wearing orange or coral lip colours to keep other makeup more simple (i.e. pretty understated eyes and soft pink cheek colour).
This season there is an abundance of flattering orange lipsticks and lip glosses to choose from. MAC even dedicated an entire collection to orange shades called “All About Orange” and other makeup lines have a nice assortment of orange, coral and peach shades. See below for just a small sampling of what’s available.
