If you’ve never done a juice cleanse it’s probably because your name isn’t Gwyneth Paltrow, and you generally enjoy eating solid foods. Congratulations, these things are a sign you’ve been making competent life choices! However, for the self disciplined few, juice cleansing is believed to be a great way to drop pounds fast while ridding the body of evil toxins.
Juicing evangelists claim that juice cleansing or fasting is an effective method of bodily detox and healing. Reasons to undergo such a detox typically include those looking to lose weight, stop habitual habits such as smoking, or for those seeking out alternative medicine, as a way to cure chronic pain, depression, and even cancer.
So what does a juice cleanse entail? Well, you don’t eat anything, and you pretty much just consume fruit and vegetable juices for several days. And while the health benefits of this strict regime are still medically unproven many services offering pre-made, freshly pressed juices are cropping up everywhere.
