Catch These November Concerts In Toronto

Although festival season is officially behind us and the temperatures are dropping dramatically, November still boasts an impressive lineup for concertgoers in Toronto. Whether you’re a fan of rap, electronic beats or indie music, there are plenty of artists heading to Toronto that you won’t want to miss. From tour debuts to independent performances, some of the most iconic names in music are slated to perform on stage this month. Here’s Real Style’s roundup of Toronto concert stops to keep in mind for the weeks ahead. 

Janet Jackson

For those that are willing to hunt down some last minute tickets, pop icon Janet Jackson is set to perform at the Air Canada Centre tomorrow night, November 2nd. The “State of the World” tour marks her highly anticipated return as one of the biggest names in pop music over the past two decades.

Tegan and Sara

Tegan and Sara are now on the road for their “The Con X” 10th anniversary acoustic tour, after releasing numerous studio albums and earning a Grammy nomination a couple years back. This Canadian indie pop duo is making their way to the Queen Elizabeth Theatre on November 6th. They are expected to perform the full “Con X” album, along with a collection of other fan favourites. Ticket proceeds go towards the Tegan and Sara Foundation, which supports various causes, including economic justice and LGBTQ rights.

Macklemore

Macklemore, a Grammy-winning multi-platinum rapper is out on a solo tour, and is making his first debut without his former producer, Ryan Lewis. He is set to perform at the Rebel Complex on November 8th,  and is set to showcase his musical persona as an upbeat artist that uses the stage as a platform for serious political issues. With empowering anthems alongside light-hearted tunes, Macklemore’s Gemini Tour marks his return to the music industry and promotes his second studio album, which was released back in September.

Galantis

Galantis, the DJ duo that is best known for their hit singles “Runaway”, “No Money” and “Peanut Butter Jelly”, are performing at the Rebel Complex on November 16th. Attendees can expect electro-house beats pumping all night long, featuring a number of unique remixes to popular hit songs. With special guests, CID and The Him, this will be one of Galantis’s last stops during their The Aviary Tour.

Hoodie Allen

On November 18th, Hoodie Allen is set to perform at the Phoenix Concert Theatre, in support of his new studio album “The Hype”. Hoodie Allen’s unique sound of melodic pop-rap has garnered a strong following fan base, first finding his fame as an Internet hip-hop star, and now taking the music charts by storm.

Jay-Z

For many, Jay-Z is regarded as one of the best rappers of all time. He has finally released his new album “4:44” and is on tour with Frank Ocean, who is expected to perform as the opening act. Playing his new tracks, alongside old school classics, Jay-Z has two back-to-back performances at the Air Canada Centre on November 22nd and 23rd.
