This year, the Toronto International Film Festival, TIFF for short, will take place from September 6th – September 16th. During this period of time, Toronto will be overflowing with celebrity star power. If you’re not one of the lucky few to get a red carpet pass, you might be wondering where you can accidentally bump into Julia Robert or Bradley Cooper. Although none of us want to be labeled stalkers, many of us would leap at the chance to be in the right spot at the right time to snap a selfie with a big name actor or actress. We’ve compiled a list of some of the notorious celebrity hangouts in Toronto that you just might be lucky enough to catch your on-screen crush at.

King Street West

During Tiff, King Street W. becomes celebrity central. The strip is home to The TIFF Bell Lightbox, the Princess of Wales Theatre, and celebrity favorite restaurant Brasaii. On more than one occasion, fans lined up by the red carpet barricades at the Princess of Wales Theatre are greeted by big-name stars walking the carpet. The Thompson Hotel is also located nearby and often attracts celebrities to its incredibly popular rooftop bar.

Yorkville

This swanky neighborhood is a celebrity haven during TIFF. It’s home to some of the best designer shopping, most luxurious hotels, and tastiest restaurants in the city. Book a reservation at Buca, Trattoria Nervosa, One Restaurant in the Hazelton Hotel, or Sotto Sotto for a chance to catch your favorite actor out for dinner. You could also head over to the Dbar in the Four Seasons to catch your favorite actress celebrating her movie premiere. Estia, a newer highly rated restaurant located on Avenue Rd., also promises to attract well-known faces.

Pick6

Drake’s previous restaurant, Frings, was a celebrity go-to. So, we can only imagine that the A-lists guests are sure to head over to his latest culinary venture. Stop by for some Sushi and Asian influenced dishes.

Soho House

Unfortunately, this is a members-only club. But, there’s nothing stopping you from hanging out in the area. Soho House, located at 192 Adelaide Street West, is often the venue for many of the TIFF film premiers’ after parties and is the perfect place to catch celebrities entering or exiting.
