Canadian Summer Music Festivals You Don’t Want To Miss

As Summer 2018 hits us, music festival season has once again returned to the True North. Whether you like electronic dance music or country beats, there are a number of Canadian music festivals this season that will surely leave you in a party mood. Other than great tunes, we all know that a weekend at a music festival is an opportunity to catch up with friends, practice your dance moves, soak up the sun and enjoy a few drinks. From the pumping rhythms and wild crowds of EDM at Ever After 2018 to many others, Canada has it all. We’ve compiled a list of the must-attend music festivals coming to Canada this season. 

Ever After Music Festival 

Ever After will take place from June 8th-10th at 425 Bingemans Centre Drive in Kitchener, Ontario. This electronic music festival also offers access to a water park, games, which include a roller rink and wipe-out zone, a vendor village and midway rides. The festival is only a short one hour drive from Toronto and there will be daily shuttles running for those who choose not to drive. The festival has a lineup covering genres of dubstep, house, techno, EDM, and down tempo. On the long list of performers are Claude VonStrokes, Flux, Pavilion, Snails, and more. Tickets for the festival start at $70.00 and there are also camping packages available for purchases, starting $148.84.

Veld

The well known Toronto based electronic music festival is back this year from August 4th-5th with a stacked two-day lineup. The festival, which will take place at Downsview Park, will feature fan favourites such as DJ Snake, Marshmello, Migos, and A$ap Ferg. Single day tickets range from $109.99-$119.99 and two-day tickets that are still available range from $179.00-$259.50. 

Osheaga

The electronic music and arts festival will take place at Parc Jean-Drapeau in Montreal, from August 3rd-5th. The massive 3-day line up covers a variety of other music genres as well. Among the key performers are Travis Scott, Anderson .Paak, Post Malone, Dua Lipa, and James Blake. Single day passes begin at $115.00 and weekend passes start at $320.00. 

Dreams 

The 19+ festival, which was formerly known as Digital Dreams, will take place at Echo Beach in Toronto from June 23rd-24th. The festival truly is a dream come true for many electronic music fans, as Armin Van Buuren, Kaskade, Galantis and more will be gracing one of the three stages at the two-day event. Single day tickets are priced at $79.50, two-day tickets at $159.00, and two-day VIP tickets at $295.00. 

Boots and Hearts

Canada’s largest country music festival will take place at Burl’s Creek, in Oro-Medonte, Ontario from August 9th-12th. The festival promises to be full of country twang, with a lineup that includes Florida Georgia Line, Thomas Rhett, Alan Jackson, Lindsay Ell and more. Weekend passes for this festival range from $269.99 for general admission to $599.99 for VIP.

Shambhala

This west coast festival has a huge lineup for its 21st birthday bash this summer. The festival will take place in Salmo River Ranch, BC, from August 10th-13th. The lineup includes Adventure Club, Alix Perez, Claptone and more. Weekend passes for this event cost $420.00 and include parking and tent camping. The festival offers early entrance, as well as camping package that range from $550.00-$2,350.00.
