This season, several new hotels are slated to open in Toronto, giving the city’s current accommodations a run for their money. With the opening of three new hotels in the coming weeks, those who are visiting Toronto (whether for business or pleasure) will have some new options. From the recently opened and restored Broadview Hotel to the luxurious Toronto X, here are a trio of upcoming hotels that are expected to open up shop in the 6ix.

The Broadview Hotel

Twenty-four million dollars was spent on transforming a 125-year-old building, which was formerly known as Jilly’s Strip Club, into a seven-storey hotel. Located at Broadview and Queen, the Broadview Hotel has certainly received a thorough design makeover. From new architecture to windows being replaced to sculptures and a renovated roof, these improvements manage to keep the Victorian feeling that the building has always had. This boutique hotel is already garnering rave reviews for its rooftop terraces, which offer a view of Toronto’s skyline from the east end of the city. The hotel also includes two dining rooms, as well as a café and bar.

Bisha Hotel and Residences

Rock star Lenny Kravitz is designing a new floor in the Bisha Hotel. Kravitz may be a singer, but he has always had an interest in design. The floor he’s designing is supposed to offer a sexy and soulful feeling, as the interiors will be inspired by his experiences as an artist.  The Bisha Hotel is located in the Entertainment District, and is said to open at the end of the summer. With a rooftop lounge and four restaurants, the hotel offers plenty of space for sipping drinks, mingling with friends or even hosting an event.

Toronto X

Another hotel that is said to open up at the end of summer is Hotel X. It is located in the Exhibition Place and will be divided into three buildings- the hotel tower, Ten X, and the Stanley Barracks, which will be turned into a Gastro Pub. Ten X is the athletic building, that includes two rooftop pools, four fitness studios, a treatment room spa, a juice bar and a 3,000 square foot Play Centre. Toronto X will also be home to an outdoor venue called the Victory Ballroom as well as the High Park Terrace, with a view of Lake Ontario.  If you’re looking for somewhere to host a business meeting, the hotel also has 17 meeting rooms and outdoor spaces for social gatherings.
