If you’re venturing to Montreal this winter and itching to party, Igloofest just may be the perfect event for you. The annual electronic dance music festival takes place every winter in Montreal, and officially kicked off this year on January 12. Igloofest runs until February 19, taking place at the city’s Old Port. For 2017, the festival also rings in 375th Les Hivernales, which celebrates Montreal’s major anniversary this year.

Igloofest features 12 evenings of music, taking place every Thursday to Saturday throughout the season. Visitors can expect to see performances from a roster of Canadian DJs, which include Moody Jones, Amir Javasoul and B.Traits. As well, international acts like British DJ Carl Cox are also part of the line-up.

While newcomers to the event may be hesitant to party in the great outdoors during winter, Igloofest clearly feels like home to Montrealers. The annual cold weather jam also features the Igloovillage, a snow clothing contest and themed wintry architecture. Whether you want to catch your favourite producers on stage or simply dance in a winter wonderland as the snow falls, Igloofest may be worth a visit.
