Kate Winslet & Sam Mendes Split

After seven years of marriage, Kate Winslet and her director husband Sam Mendes are getting a divorce.

British law firm Schillings announced that the celebrity couple is getting an “amicable” divorce. They have apparently been separated for months now. Sam Mendes and Kate Winslet have a son Joe, who was born in 2003.

The statement said, “Kate and Sam are saddened to announce that they separated earlier this year. The split is entirely amicable and is by mutual agreement. Both parties are fully committed to the future joint parenting of their children. They ask that the media respect the privacy of the family.”

Sam Mendes and Kate Winslet met back in 2001 when he wanted to cast her in a play. They were married in secret two years later. Sam directed his wife opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in the Oscar nominated film Revolutionary Road. Kate Winslet won a Golden Globe for the role.

Kate Winslet Has The Most Desirable Celebrity Body

Megan Fox According to a poll that came out this week, Kate Winslet is the celebrity with the body that most women desire to have.

In the poll done with women in the UK, curvy, beautiful Kate Winslet came out in the forefront. She beat out of 2,000 other nominees up for the role. We love that women really do aspire to an actress who loves her curves.

Halle Berry, Lily Allen, Megan Fox and Beyonce all took spots in the top 10 without being super skinny and showing off their curves.

Meanwhile the super skinny Victoria Beckham and Kate Moss were closer to the bottom of the list with less than one percent of the votes each.

The Daily Mail reports that while being uber-skinny may not be as important to women anymore, the majority who did the poll still said they were unhappy with their weight.

Let’s take a cue from celebrities like Kate Winslet and Beyonce and celebrate those curves. Confidence is sexier anyways.

Celebrity Round Up: Kate Winslet, Kristin Stewart & The Prince Of Persia

Actress Kate Winslet won a lawsuit against British tabloid The Daily Mail for calling her “the world’s most irritating actress” and lying about her exercise routine. Rumour has it Kate Winslet was “distressed and embarressed” by the story. The $40,000 she won should clear that right up.

Twilight star Kristin Stewart is being ungrateful again. Little Bella Swan is saying she doesn’t want to be a movie star or a celebrity. She is probably just grumpy because of all of the attention her possible relationship with co-star Robert Pattinson is getting. She has been losing it in recent interviews over the questions.

To make the weekend a little brighter, here is the recently released preview of Jake Gyllenhaal’s new flick Prince of Persia. The role is far from Jake’s other serious movies, but he is buff and showing off so we will forgive him if the script is lame.
