In today’s beauty news, actress Halle Berry has just released her second fragrance titled Pure Orchid. 

The floral, woody scent features notes of jungle cactus flower, lemon, blackberry creme, star anise, masdevallia orchid, giant sequoia and patchouli.  Currently, the new fragrance is available only at Wal-Mart.  Does this seem odd to you?  We always envisioned products by Hollywood top actresses to be featured at high-end department stores like Barneys and Sephora, not necessarily Wal-Mart.  We assume the idea is to appeal and sell to mass market and potentially make more money.  If you’re interested, Halle Berry Pure Orchid is available in Eau de Parfum (15 ml) for approx $16. 

In other fragrance news, 2010 will mark the launch of many celebrity fragrances including scents by Rihanna, Kanye West, singer Fergie, Eva Longoria, Sean John, Gwen Stefani, Shakira, another fragrance by Jennifer Lopez titled Blue Glow by JLO and another fragrance by  Sarah Jessica Parker called SJP NYC.
