Real Style Network told you last week that Sarah Jessica Parker released a new fragrance SJP NYC. Sarah Jessica Parker is now telling the story behind SJP NYC.
According to StyleList the fragrance is inspired by Sarah Jessica Parker’s Sex In The City character Carrie Bradshaw. Sarah said, “I wanted to capture a freeze frame in Carrie’s life. A snapshot of her walking down her favorite street in the spring, in a floral dress.”
Sarah Jessica Parker said that the smell of SJP NYC surprised her. It reminds the actress of her childhood days of spring.
This is her sixth perfume. At this point, she is a bit of an expert on fragrances. She gave some tips on how to properly wear it.
“I’ve learned a thing or two about application,” Sarah Jessica Parker said, “We apply a fragrance, and then we rip it apart by rubbing our wrists together. The key is to apply it and just let it sit for awhile. No rubbing.”
SJP NYC is in stores across the country now.

The floral, woody scent features notes of jungle cactus flower, lemon, blackberry creme, star anise, masdevallia orchid, giant sequoia and patchouli. Currently, the new fragrance is available only at Wal-Mart. Does this seem odd to you? We always envisioned products by Hollywood top actresses to be featured at high-end department stores like Barneys and Sephora, not necessarily Wal-Mart. We assume the idea is to appeal and sell to mass market and potentially make more money. If you’re interested, Halle Berry Pure Orchid is available in Eau de Parfum (15 ml) for approx $16.
