HIGHLY ANTICIPATED LATISSE™ LAUNCHES IN USA

latisse.JPG

Actresses Debra Messing and Angie Harmon attend the launch of LATISSE Wishes.  Through the campaign consumers can help double a $500,000 commitment from Allergan to the Make-A-Wish Foundation to $1 million by registering their support on www.latisse.com.

Ah, the dream of longer, lusher lashes can finally be realized!  The highly anticipated LATISSE™ recently launched in the US.  It’s a prescription treatment for hypotrichosis used to grow eyelashes, making them longer, thicker and darker.  The once-daily prescription treatment is applied to the base of the upper eyelashes with a sterile single-use-per-eye disposable applicator. While individual results may vary, LATISSE™ users can expect to experience results in as little as eight weeks, with significant results in 16 weeks.

It’s important to note that as with all medications, side effects can occur and this product is currently only available with a prescription.  Interested in trying it out?  As mentioned, it’s currently available in the US.  Health Canada has not issued information on this drug’s approval, but it likely won’t be long before its available here.

So I will have longer lashes, AND RED ITCHY EYES!!! awesome! I will never try this product because there are cosmetics already out there tthat give me long lush lashes without all the crazy side effects; ie Revitalash. I have been using it for about a year and I look great and zero side effects. So, tell me why anyone would want to go through the trouble of latise?

Christine—I, too, use Revitalash (and have since they’ve been on the market). I’ve been curious about Latisse, but I’m reading some not-so-great reviews about it (mostly side effects). I love the way my lashes look. Has anyone actually tried the Allergan product???

I’ll probably try Latisse once it is available in Canada. Was using Revitalash and had grown long, thick, curly lashes and would have been a Revitalash user for life, but with the latest tube I bought, my lashes are falling out and reverting to short, straight stubby, sparse with little bald spots, etc., as they were before I started using it. Really disappointing, but I can only assume that sellers have finally run out of old stock now and are now selling only the new formula. (My sister bought a tube 3 months ago and almost nothing happened to her lashes - certainly not worth the cost. It must be because of Revitalash eliminating that important ingredient in the new formula.)
Also, with the original tube that was so successful, there was a little bit of darkening along the lashline, but I actually liked it because it looked like makeup.

i love Debra Messing but i’m using Revitalash. I heard about the side effects of Latisse too. I guess better be safe than sorry.
