See The Hottest Swimwear Looks From Miami Swim Week 2016

With Miami Swim Week officially making a splash from July 14-19, the annual swimwear extravaganza concluded this week with an array of sultry and rainbow-hued looks. At Peruvian swim label Aguaclara, siblings Liliana and Jorge Villalobos unveiled colourful suits detailed with seductive side cut-outs. Dainty straps and cheeky bottoms brought a stylish effect to the monokinis on display.

Meanwhile, designer Nicole Hanriot of Beach Riot featured pieces which were dark, edgy and rebellious. Models strut the Miami Swim catwalk in printed black bikinis, with halter necklines, sporty bikini bottoms and quirky patterns making a statement.

At Luli Fama Swimwear, vivid summertime brights were also on the agenda. Cuban-born and Miami-raised designer Lourdes “Luli” Hanimian is recognized for her eye-catching designs. For 2016, her looks featured wide cut-out sections, a one-piece swimsuit with long sleeves and splashy abstract prints. Colours ranged from turquoise and pink to hints of teal and yellow.

Blue Life stayed true to its bohemian aesthetic and free-spirited energy, with earthy shades such as army green. Suits were accented with cross-straps and halter straps, for beachwear which was a mix of boho chic and streetwise.

At For Love & Lemons, co-designers Gillian Rose Kern and Laura Hall are known for their ladylike crocheted and lace creations. Their latest swimwear lineup involved plenty of feminine charm, girlish ties and basic black and white pieces.
