Best Dressed Stars At The 2017 Emmys
Last night, the 2017 Emmy Awards took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Just like every year, a number of celebrities arrived wearing all manner of embellished, detailed frocks. With the awards show red carpet being a glamorous sight, Hollywood’s finest arrived in stunning couture gowns. From icons like Nicole Kidman to younger stars like Julianne Hough, here’s a closer look at the best dressed stars of the evening.
The 50-year-old star looked like a classic beauty in this brilliant red Calvin Klein ball gown. With its full, pleated skirt, ruched bodice and halter neckline, the gown was certainly a fitting look for the Emmys. Meanwhile, Kidman turned to glittering accessories, in the form of bejewelled strappy sandals and a chic bracelet.
Sofia Vergara looked like an angel in white, as she embraced the carpet in an ivory Mark Zunino mermaid gown. The 45-year-old Modern Family actress showcased her impressive curves in a dress with a deep strapless neckline, a fitted skirt and a voluminous hemline. Vergara accessorized her gown with a pair dangling, shoulder-dusting earrings for an eye-catching effect.
The 31-year-old actress chose the colour of royalty for her appearance at the Emmys, in the form of a deep purple Elie Saab creation. The dress featured a boat neckline, thick spaghetti straps and sequin embellishment. The rich colour flattered Michele’s complexion, while her waist-cinching thin purple belt emphasized her waistline.
Staying true to fairytale fashion, Julianne Hough looked like a princess in a floral Marchesa number. The pleated black tulle number featured strategic cut-outs, thin straps and soft pink flowery appliqués. Meanwhile, the 29-year-old star chose to accessorize with minimal accessories and a tiny black clutch.
