Willow Smith Stars In New Chanel Eyewear Campaign

At the age of 15, Willow Smith is probably best known as the edgy teenage daughter of Will Smith. However, the unconventional beauty is also blazing her own trail in the world of fashion. In breaking news, emerging fashionista Smith has officially been titled the face of Chanel’s eyewear campaign.

According to Fashionista.com, Smith was first selected as a Chanel muse in March. Now, the teen has been chosen by creative director Karl Lagerfeld to star in the luxury fashion house’s Fall 2016 eyewear campaign. In fact, the 82-year-old German designer has also photographed Smith himself, as part of the upcoming ads.

Fashionista.com also reports that the Paris-based label has shared a statement, which describes the aesthetic behind the campaign.

“Swathed in jewels from the Fall-Winter 2016/17 Ready-to-Wear collection, she breathes new energy into the world of Chanel eyewear,” stated Chanel.

Smith also makes an appearance in two short Chanel videos, which feature the young trendsetter posing in extravagant statement necklaces.

While one black and white video includes a pair of oversized funky sunglasses, another clip involves the star embracing thick black-framed eyeglasses. Overall, this latest campaign certainly looks like a perfect combination of rock and roll and geek chic.
