Last night, the 2016 Met Gala (which is officially known as the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute gala) was held in New York City. The annual fashion extravaganza featured a theme of Manus x Machina: Fashion in an Age of Technology, which paid tribute to the Costume Institute’s newest exhibit. From Gigi Hadid to Nina Dobrev, here’s a closer peek at the most eye-catching celebrity looks from the red carpet.

The 21-year-old model was a stunning sight, as she arrived on the arm of boyfriend Zayn Malik. Hadid looked like the ultimate blonde sensation in a custom designed Tommy Hilfiger gown. Her floor-length silvery grey number featured sparkling embellished detail, a floating sheer hemline and an intricate halter neckline.

Meanwhile, the 19-year-old rising model looked just as beautiful as her older sister. Bella was accompanied by her boyfriend, Toronto-born rapper The Weeknd, and stunned in a strapless black Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci gown. The high-drama velvet creation was adorned with a ruffled hem and a leg-baring slit. Meanwhile, her thigh-high black boots emphasized her toned stems and brought a sultry finishing touch to her look.

We are loving the 30-year-old actress’ approach to futuristic Met Gala style, which featured a silky rose-gold dress by Ralph Lauren. The draped creation was complete with a daring thigh-high slit, V-neckline, ladylike ruched accents and a trailing hemline.
