FASHION TREND: Colour Blocking Continues Into Fall Fashion
Colour blocking was a huge trend this summer, and as we move into pre-fall these items continue to be a fashionable option transitioning well into the cooler season. By adding layers and choosing the blouses from the beginning of summer it’s quite simple to maximize our wardrobe by extending pieces across seasons.
Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection led the way as far as colour blocking goes. As the weather gets cooler you can still opt for pieces from the collection with long colourful pants and a bright jacket.
Garcelle Beauvais showed us how to do colour blocking into the pre-fall season with her bright outfit on The Help red carpet this week. Her bright canary blouse and cobalt blue trousers are a fun way to add some colour into your wardrobe.
Designers are still doing colour blocking for fall as you can see from this dress in the DKNY fall 2011 collection. Use bright shades of orange and pink to break up an otherwise dark winter wardrobe.
