CANADIAN FASHION NEWS: TFI New Labels Competition, Greta Constantine & Denis Gagnon
Here are some of Canada’s fashion news headlines:
Golnaz Ashtiani of Ashtiani took home the top prize in the Toronto Fashion Incubator’s New Label events. The emerging fashion designer beat the competition for the top prize of $10,000 and a piece in Flare magazine. Her pieces included wool and separates in pale coloured fabrics playing with shape and size.(blogTO)
Canadian fashion darlings Greta Constantine announced a new capsule collection with retailer Danier. The line, entitled SKIN, will feature six look made for layering with Danier’s pieces. They said in a press release that this will offer Danier customers a new luxurious option in stores.
Montreal designer Denis Gagnon will be releasing new footwear in a collaboration with Aldo. The new shoes will be sold exclusive at Gagnon’s new Montreal store which is opening next month for $150. Only a limited number of the shoes will be available and all proceeds will go to the Farha Foundation.
