FASHION NEWS: Olivia Palermo, Fur Banned In Oslo & Hilary Swank

Olivia Palermo is returning to reality television in a new series that follows her as she launches her first fashion line. The young socialite revealed the news of her first fashion line in the new January 2011 issue of Vogue Spain. (Racked)
Fur was a big trend for this season, but Norway has banned fur for Oslo Fashion Week in February. All animal pelts are banned from the runways after fashion insiders in Norway joined the anti-fur cause. This is a first for the fashion industry. (Ecouterre)
Academy Award winner Hilary Swank is joining the celebrity fashion line shelves with a new line of athletic clothing. Hilary is working with DMA Designers Management Agency to create a “contemporary, outdoor, athleisure brand.” The line was originally going to be just t-shirts, but expanded into the full collection.
