Hottest Sci-Fi Babes Of All Time
With Star Trek Beyond officially opening in theatres this weekend, Zoe Saldana has taken over the big screen as beautiful Lieutenant Uhura. While we are certainly admiring the gorgeous 38-year-old actress in her latest role, we also can’t help but look back at other science fiction beauties who have graced the screen. From Natalie Portman to Alicia Vikander, here are our favourite sci-fi babes of all time.
Alicia Vikander in Ex Machina: In the 2015 sci-fi mystery film Ex Machina, Swedish actress Alicia Vikander played robotic leading lady Ava. The 27-year-old star depicted a humanoid robot who was created by software company CEO Nathan Bateman (Oscar Isaac). While Ava may have been only partly human, she was still totally beautiful with an impressive figure, enviable cheekbones and incredibly dangerous powers.
Olivia Wilde in TRON: Legacy: In Joseph Kosinski’s 2010 flick TRON, striking Olivia Wilde starred as Quorra, the apprentice of former ENCOM International CEO Kevin Flynn (Jeff Bridges). With her blunt bangs and black pixie cut, Quorra’s haircut flatters her flawless bone structure. We love the idea of a beauty with brains, which is exactly what Wilde’s computerized yet chic character brings to the screen.
Natalie Portman in Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace: As Padmé Amidala in 1999’s Star Wars flick, classic beauty Natalie Portman was transformed into a fierce intergalactic bombshell. Portman, who was a psychology student at Harvard University at the time, stunned as the strong female lead. With her statement pale skin, statement headpiece and elegant red robe, Queen Amidala was both beautiful and powerful.
Milla Jovovich in The Fifth Element: The Ukrainian-born actress and model made a splash in director Luc Besson’s 1997 movie The Fifth Element. Jovovich played a reconstructed humanoid woman, who was rescued from unfamiliar New York City streets by former Special Forces major Korben Dallas (Bruce Willis). With her fiery red locks and fierce facial expressions, Jovovich’s character Leeloo certainly stole the spotlight.
