Justin Bieber Poses Shirtless For Hospital Portrait

Justin Bieber posted a photo of himself shirtless once again on Instagram, but this time the reason he’s shirtless is a lot more forgivable than last week’s shirtless escapades when the singer was photographed heading back to his hotel in London with no shirt on around 6am in the morning. There’s a time and a place for being shirtless: the beach, the hospital, the locker room, the Australian Outback, perhaps… but not the streets of London in early spring. Olivia Wilde apparently feels the same way. The actress tweeted at Bieber last Friday after seeing his post-partying shirtless pics: “Bieber, put your f–king shirt on. (unless you lost all your shirts in a fire in which case my condolences and please purchase a new shirt),” Wilde tweeted last Friday.

Justin Bieber may not have lost his shirt in a fire, but we think that being rushed to the hospital after collapsing on stage is a fair enough reason to be caught shirtless. Score 1, Bieber! All kidding aside, the singer collapsed on stage last night at London’s O2 arena after complaining of breathing problems. Bieber’s manager, Scooter Braun, took to the stage to explain what was going on: “Justin got very light of breath. The whole show he’s been complaining, and he’s backstage with the EMTs and the doctor,” Braun said. “They’re telling him that they want him to go see somebody and see what’s going on with his lungs.”

Later while recovering, Bieber tweeted this photo of himself shirtless in the hospital along with the words: “getting better. thanks for everyone pulling me thru tonight. best fans in the world. figuring out what happened. thanks for the love.”

Although there’s still no word yet on what caused Justin to be out of breath, at least he’s getting the medical attention he needs, and he’s clearly enjoying this totally acceptable reason to be shirtless. Last week, we gave Bieber a hard time about being photographed in the wee hours of the morning completely shirtless while partying in London for his 19th birthday. We outlined the rules of going shirtless for Bieber in our post: What Justin Bieber Needs To Learn About Going Shirtless From Ryan Gosling. Although we definitely sympathize with Bieber’s medical issues, we would like to also point out that a shirtless photo is totally appropriate when you’re tweeting from the hospital. It’s much more genuine and sweet than getting photographed by paparazzi while out partying shirtless in the middle of the night, as in the image below. Who parties shirtless besides cast members of The Jersey Shore? See what we’re saying, Justin?
