Top 10 Celebrity Weddings 2012

Kim Kardashian’s wedding is so 2011! In 2012, one of the biggest trends we saw in Hollywood was top secret celebrity weddings… and we have to admit that we love it. Not only does it make us all the more curious about who wore what, we now have way more opportunities to place bets in the office over who will marry when. Some office have Oscar pools, but we like to have multiple and sometimes tricky bets on the go all year long. Here were our top celebrity weddings of 2012.

1. Blake Lively & Ryan Reynolds
Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds make the top of our list because they pulled off the most top secret wedding in A-list celebrity history. Not even a single photo of Blake in her Marchesa gown hit Twitter! We had to wait for the December issue of Martha Stewart Weddings to get even a tiny peek at her wedding dress and the amazing food tables at the couple’s September nuptials at South Carolina’s Boone Hall Plantation.

2. Anne Hathaway & Adam Shulman
If you had asked us where Anne Hathaway’s wedding factored in to our top weddings of 2012 guide a week ago, we would have said, “Oh, maybe around No. 4 or 5…” But now that we’ve seen Les Miserables, we’ve changed our minds! The soon-to-be Oscar winner has totally won our hearts as one of the most talented actresses in Hollywood, and we wish we could have been at her September 29th wedding to Adam Shulman to see her walk down the aisle in her custom-made Valentino gown. Check out the photo of her dress in our post: Anne Hathaway’s Wedding Dress Revealed.

3. Natalie Portman & Benjamin Millepied
Natalie Portman wore a dress designed by her good friends at Rodarte to tie the knot to ballet dancer Benjamin Millepied who she met while filming her Oscar-winning role in Black Swan. The couple already share a son together, but we were happy nonetheless to see them officially become a family at their August 4th nuptials in Big Sur, California. The couple wed in a traditional Jewish ceremony.

4. Jessica Biel & Justin Timberlake
They’ve been together for years and, despite a split that was rumoured to be because of Justin’s infidelity, we were excited to find out that JT and Jessica Biel were officially becoming Mr. and Mrs. Timberlake in an October 19th ceremony in Italy. Jessica’s pink wedding gown has its fair share of lovers and haters, but we can all agree that the two lovebirds make one of the best looking couples in Hollywood. In fact, they somehow seem to be best looking when they’re photographed together.

6. Matthew McConaughey & Camila Alves
Matthew McConaughey rekindled the love we felt for him in the early ’90s with his role in this summer’s Magic Mike. They’re about to add their third child to their family in 2013.

7. Alec Baldwin & Hilaria Thomas
We would have liked to be a fly on the wall at Alec Baldwin’s June 30th wedding to yoga instructor Hilaria Thomas. The couple said “I do” at the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in New York City, and comedy legends Woody Allen and Tina Fey were there to watch the 30 Rock star wed his bride.

8. Kate Winslet & Ned Rocknroll
Kate Winslet tied the knot to boyfriend Ned Rocknroll in a secret ceremony in New York in December. Rumour has it that Kate’s Titanic costar Leonardo DiCaprio walked her down the aisle. “I can confirm that Kate Winslet wed Ned Rocknroll in NY earlier this month in a private ceremony attended by her two children and very few friends and family,” Kate’s rep said to People Magazine. “The couple had been engaged since the summer.”

The Bachelorette star Ashley Hebert married JP Rosenbaum in Pasadena, California in early December, and we all got to watch Ashley walk down the aisle in a 40-pound train on TV!
