President Obama Slow Jams The News With Jimmy Fallon
Late Night with Jimmy Fallon came from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Tuesday night, and the audience was surprised when President Obama came out as a special guest. Jimmy stated that he wanted to slow jam the news, and he wasn’t the only one, to which President Obama came out on the stage.
“I’m President Barack Obama,” he said, “and I too want to slow jam the news.”
Most of the slow jam was Obama trying to win over the student crowd by talking about preventing a hike in student loan interest rates. “Now is not the time to make school more expensive for our young people” he said. Fallon provided the comedy for the bit as he appeared next, added “Ohhhh yeah,” and “You should listen to the President, or as I call him, the Preezie of the United Steezie.” Fallon also called the President “The Barackness Monster” during the bit.
Over all Obama is doing a great job trying to win over younger voters, and by making an appearance on Jimmy Fallon, live in front a group of students, he probably will see more students making their way to the poll later this year.
