After surprising everyone by wearing Elizabeth Taylor’s jewellery Jessica Chastain has scored another Cannes Film Festival fashion hit with this sparkling Givenchy gown. This is the second custom Givenchy gown Jessica Chastain has worn in Cannes and we are glad she did.

The sparkling beaded purple gown is not usually something we would imagine on Jessica Chastain as she often chooses minimalistic dresses. It allowed her to have a real wow moment on the red carpet. The vibrant hue of the dress worked wonders with her pale skin tone, green eyes and red carpet. It made everything pop.

To counterbalance the beading on the dress, Jessica Chastain went without the big jewellery tonight. She looked stunning overall.

Nashville’s first season has caught viewers hearts with their musical drama series. Not only was the show nominated at the People’s Choice Awards, but the series itself receives recognition for its fashion. Both Hayden Panettiere and Connie Britton flaunt their style in sexy sequin dresses to keeping it casual with their cowboy boots and leather jackets. Here are six of our favourite looks on the show this season:

Juliette dresses very girly and loves to wear feminine prints such as florals and pretty much pairs everything with her cowboy boots. The boots give the outfit a cowgirl edge. She gives off the vibe of “girl next door.”

This is Juliette’s naughty side that likes to come out to play. Daisy dukes and a corset gives the viewers a chance to see her wild side.

From casual to sparkle, Juliette dazzles in a sequin mini performing on stage. A number like this is what gets her fans screaming for more.

Rayna always keeps it cool with a great sequin jacket or leather jacket. She defines the term rock ‘n’ roll chic.

From rock ‘n’ roll chic to just chic, Rayna definitely knows how to switch to both. She can be edgy to classy when she has to and will wear that fitted knee dress but will go for a bold colour.

Continuing with edgy fashion, Rayna loves to wear leather on stage and will wear a complimentary top to sing to her fans. We can’t forget those amazing heels!

Kate Middleton’s Garden Party Yellow Coat

A glowing Kate Middleton brightened the Queen’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace today in this sunny coat from Emilia Wickstead.

This bright coat from the New Zealand designer features a yellow and white print and three quarter length sleeves. On the runway it came with a matching pencil skirt, but Kate Middleton kept her coat zipped up for the annual event. You can actually buy the same coat as Kate Middleton for $1826 now. It’s originally not a maternity coat, so anyone can wear the Duchess’ fashion pick.

Cannes Film Festival celebrated the 50^th anniversary of Cleopatra this week with a screening of the classic film. Jessica Chastain honoured the film’s star Elizabeth Taylor by wearing a pendant owned by her.

Elizabeth Taylor was known for her stunning jewellery collection, which has gone to auction and been put on display for all to see. To honour Elizabeth Taylor at the screening Jessica Chastain wore an iconic piece from Taylor’s collection with her Versace Collection gown. The sapphire-and-diamond sautoir necklace with a 65-carat stone was purchased for Elizabeth Taylor from the love of her life Richard Burton. She also wore a Trombino ring in diamonds and sapphires from Taylor’s jewellery collection.

The piece was put up for auction in 2011 and bought back by Bulgari. According to reports they rarely loan the pieces out to celebrities, but made an exception due to the screening. Chastain was the first person to wear the piece since Elizabeth Taylor. Bulgari also held an after-party where visitors could see the full collection in person.
