Rachel McAdams showed her fashion savvy side this week when she attended the premiere of Journey 2: The Mysterious Island in this bright blue number. The Peter Som blue blouse and matching floral skirt was sharp while still giving her some sexy appeal with the thigh high slit. The rich vibrant hues suited Rachel fair complexion and blonde hair beautifully. The colours popped in photographs and made us dream of Spring’s approaching bloom.

Rachel kept her accessories simple opting for basic black pumps and a blue clutch for her winning look.

Blair Waldorf’s Gossip Girl nuptials is arguably the biggest royal wedding (Hollywood royalty nonwithstanding) on television since Will & Kate tied the knot last spring. Inspired by Blair’s stunning strapless Vera Wang ballgown, we have rounded-up our five favourite bridal gown trends for 2012:

Illusion Necklines – If you want the illusion of strapless without being so exposed this style is for you. It is still dramatic while staying covered up. You can find gowns with stunning lacework along the neckline for added elegance.

Two-Tiered Skirts – Add volume and a new silhouette on your wedding gown with a two-tiered or peplum style skirt. You can get this style in a variety of different looks from sleek and simple to voluminous. The added layer gives the wedding skirt a new look.

Coloured – If traditional white isn’t your cup of tea, a pastel gown is the next best thing. Those looking to walk down the aisle in something unexpected can swap their white dress for something in a pale hue. Blush is the most popular non-white option, but wedding gowns are being offered in light green, silver and even black.

Lace Sleeves – Kate Middleton and Bella in Twilight both opted for long lace sleeved on their wedding gown last year. Expect 2012 brides to follow their footsteps with more classic long sleeve gowns.

Keira Knightley looked regal in red at the London premiere of her film A Dangerous Method alongside co-stars Michael Fassbender and Viggo Mortensen. This red Burberry column dress helped the slim star look statuesque thanks to it’s straight-fitting silhouette. The front cut out and open back was a sexy touch to the otherwise simple dress. She paired the deep red dress with a simple quilted clutch and diamond studs, that kept the outfit modestly elegant.
