Is Anna Wintour Leaving Vogue To Be A US Ambassador?

Rumours are swirling that Anna Wintour may be considering leaving her role as Vogue’s editor-in-chief to work with President Obama as a US Ambassador. Anna is known to be a big supporter of the president as she hosted numerous fundraisers for his recent campaign that raised $40 million. Does her support of the president over take her love of fashion?

Reports say Anna Wintour is on Obama’s short list of ambassador candidates. She would either be placed in Paris or London. There are a number of other possible candidate though as well, so the Vogue editor isn’t a sure thing yet.

Anna has not commented on the possibility of taking the spot and Vogue’s spokespeople told ABC News that she is “very happy with her current job.”

Every eye in the fashion industry will be on Wintour when Obama begins making announcements, because this would be a huge change for Vogue.
