Layered Luxe
Sumptuous materials are making a comeback. Say goodbye to your flimsy polyester and cotton fabrics when it comes to holiday dressing for this season of luxurious texture. Light-catching, luscious leather and soft velvet are huge this season, and since holiday dressing allows for the more, more, more mindset, we say pair the two for an on-trend, festive and rich look.

The Rundown
This Balmain look held a few of the keys to this winter’s fashion atmosphere. First, inky black leather worn in an unexpected way, (as a top) second, rich jewel hues and third, lush velvet. We loved the entire outfit, and although we would actually love to wear the look straight from the runway, we’ve found affordable pieces that show a touch more skin.

Get The Look
A minimalist leather top like this Iris & Ink one is one of our must-have items this season, and we love the Balmain inspired combo of the leather with a glam teal velvet Topshop skirt for your next holiday party or night out. Accessorize with a gold collar necklace from Asos and this gleaming Bebe belt. Finally, we love how the Balmain look was edged up with lace up suede booties, and these Sam Edelman ones are on our wish-list for winter.
