Best Dressed At The Gotham Independent Film Awards 2012

The 22nd annual Gotham Independent Film Awards took place last night in New York City, kicking off awards season and the race to the Oscars as we start to anticipate who will win big at the 2013 Academy Awards. If we were giving awards for style last night, we have to give serious props to Marion Cotillard who scored big points wearing a Raf Simons creation for Dior Couture. Simons is once again popularizing “The New Look,” which Christian Dior made famous in 1947. Marion looked Old Hollywood glamourous in the ’50s-style dress with feather-like petals comprising the skirt. She topped of her look with jewels by Chopard and slicked back hair.

Lara Stone

Calvin Klein poster girl and supermodel Lara Stone showed off her growing baby bump in a tangerine sheath dress by — who else — Calvin Klein. We love a pregnant woman who isn’t afraid to wear belly-hugging fabric!

Emily Blunt

Emily Blunt looked as classic as always in a white strapless Calvin Klein creation. Take note, Hollywood ladies: This is how you rock cut-outs while still keeping your look refined. Emily definitely had a “Helen of Troy” type beauty last night, with her gold sandals and loosely pulled back hair.
