Getting dressed for work in colder temps brings us right back to bundling up in layers to walk to school in primary. It takes 20 minutes just to layer up, you’re a mess of sweat and hat head by the time you arrive, and it takes another 20 to get yourself together at your desk. But our fashion sense has come a long way since then, even if it still takes us forever to get ready for our day when autumn arrives. So this fall, we pledge to sacrifice as little style as possible by opting for chic office outfits that will get our coworkers all abuzz at the water cooler. (In a professional way, of course.)

Leather For Hire
Leather can absolutely be worn as work-wear, as seen in our inspiration from the Banana Republic fall runway. Throw your notions of leather as biker attire into the waste receptacle, and start experimenting with sophisticated looks and leather separates. Be sure to keep your leather skirt soft (not high-shine) and below-the-knee, in a pencil style or even longer A-line. We think pencil is more versatile, though, as a skirt like this Lapis Italia one can be paired with a sexy cami and stilettos for a night out.
