Hollywood Costume Exhibit Opens This Weekend

Hollywood’s most stunning costumes will be on display at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London for the first time ever, starting October 20th. Visitors will be able to get up close and personal with some of the most memorable outfits of all time from the big screen — from Audrey Hepburn’s little black dress from Breakfast at Tiffany’s to Scarlett O’Hara’s green curtain gown from Gone With The Wind. Sponsored by jewellery brand Harry Winston, the exhibit will showcase over 100 of film’s most iconic looks.

“No exhibition before has starred so many of the most ravishing costumes and celebrated characters from a century of film-making, with many favourites from Marlene Dietrich in Angel (designer Travis Banton), Joan Crawford in The Bride Wore Red (designer Adrian), Jessica Rabbit (designer Joanna Johnston), Kate Winslet in Titanic (designer Deborah Scott), and Keira Knightley in Atonement (designer Jacqueline Durran),” said senior guest curator Deborah Nadoolman Landis to British Vogue.
