Although summer weddings are romantic, there’s definitely something magical about a late fall or winter wedding. With many ladies planning fall and winter weddings in the months ahead, there are definitely a ton of exciting bridal gown trends for the colder season. Whether the bride-to-be prefers her dress simple and timeless, or high-fashion and striking, here’s a list of some popular trends in bridal fashion.

Peplum/Tiers: Perfect for accenting a petite waist and for creating a sleek, feminine silhouette, the peplum or tiered skirt trend has impacted styles which are both everyday and special occasion, including wedding gowns. The peplum accent looks elegant paired with a fuller bottom and strapless neckline, like on this Junko Yoshioka gown above. Brides can add a shrug or shawl for added warmth.
Pops of Colour: In the past, women liked keeping it traditional on their big day. But times have changed, and so have colour trends in the world of weddings. Rich ruby red, pale blue, burgundy, and even less unconventional shades of off-white such as cream, are all gorgeous choices for a dress which will definitely stun. Oscar de la Renta and Vera Wang (above) both introduced colourful, floor-length gowns for fall.
Princess Inspired: For many of us, growing up to be a Disney princess has been an as yet unrealized childhood dream. Time to make the daydreams of yesterday into reality, with Alfredo Angelo’s Disney Fairytale Weddings bridal collection. The dresses featured online are extravagant ball gowns, with layers of tulle, ruffles, and embellishment. Cinderella herself would be impressed!
Conservative Chic: Anyone planning a wedding for the chilly months will want to stay comfortable and warm on such an important day, and that isn’t always easy in a strapless sheath. Add a touch of Audrey Hepburn-inspired class to your winter wedding dress with delicate cap sleeves and an A-line skirt, or try dainty long sleeves with a lace-covered neckline.
