Denis Gagnon and leather goods brand Rudsak are two of the big names showing at Montreal Fashion Week. Going from September 4th to the 7th, the event is jame-packed with some of the city’s most beloved designers as well as some emerging talents. We’re excited to see husband and wife duo Martin Lim ( Danielle Martin and Pao Lim) who make gorgeous red carpet-worthy dresses and also won first prize in the Mercedes-Benz StartUp competition last year. As we mentioned, Montreal darling Denis Gagnon, with his love of the avant-garde, always puts on a good show. We also love Bettina Lou, a wonderfully feminine line by Marie-Ève Émond that looks like the kind of clothes Taylor Swift would wear. We will also be checking out UNTTLD by José Manuel St-Jacques and Simon Bélanger of La Collection fame.
Also showing: Eve Gravel, Tavan & Mitto, Duy, Anastasia Lomonova, Melissa Nepton, Pedram Karimi, Travis Taddeo, jewelry line La Raffinerie, Iris Setlakwe, By Thomas, Annie 50, atelier b., Hip and Bone, Symbiose by Hinda A., Tame, Davman, jewelry and accessories line LaLaYeah and Toronto-based Rachel Sin.

Montreal Fashion Week has also changed venues! The event is leaving its usual home at Marche Bonsecours in Old Montreal and heading to contemporary art complex Arsenal in Griffintown.
Target is also making its first splash in Quebec by partnering up with Montreal Fashion Week. Target even named beloved Quebec songstress Mitsou Gelinas the ambassador for the brand during fashion week. Mitsou will be all over Montreal Fashion Week conducting backstage interviews and attending shows on behalf of Target. Here’s to hoping we get to see her sing “Bye Bye Mon Cowboy”!
