Emmys Fashion Trend: Bright Colours Rule The Red Carpet

Last night the hottest trend on the red carpet was colour, colour colour! Everywhere you looked there was another gorgeous gown in a bright hue ready to dazzle and delight.

Yellow was a winning colour of the night with not one, but two Emmy winning brightening up the press room. Homeland’s Claire Danes wore a yellow strapless Lanvin and Julianne Moore made a statement in a long sleeve full-skirted gown from Christian Dior Couture. Leslie Mann, Kaley Cuoco and Julie Bowen also brighten up the night in yellow gowns.

Blue pulled out as the most popular colour of the night. From pale aqua hues to dark navy blue was everywhere. Three of our favourite looks of night were beautiful blue hues from Sofia Vergara, Julianne Hough and Zooey Deschanel. Other beautiful blue looks were seen on Heidi Klum, Hayden Panettiere and Maria Menounos.

Royal purple hues were seen in varying shades from Tina Fey’s dark dress to metallic colours on Kelly Osbourne. Girls star Allison Williams rocked the red carpet in a gorgeous green gown.
