Daytime Emmy Awards: Bethenny Frankel and Lisa Rinna Compete for Best Black Lace Dress

The stars came out for the 39th Daytime Emmy Awards Saturday night in Beverly Hills, including reality star (and former Real Housewife) Bethenny Frankel, Dr. Oz, America’s Got Talent judge Sharon Osborne and soap opera regulars like Heather Tom from The Young and the Restless and Susan Lucci. While the red carpet is arguably not as exciting as the September Emmy Awards show (which we attended last year), there were two stand-out trends we noticed — black lace and bright hues.

A LBD is always a safe bet and while both Bethenny Frankel and Lisa Rinna wore the flattering hue, they did it very differently. Bethenny, who is not shy about showing off her frame, went for a cocktail length lace dress, for a youthful interpretation of the trend, while Lisa went for a dramatic look in a floor-length gown. We’re going to have to give this one to Lisa, who we think picked a more flattering and age-appropriate gown. Who do you think wore it best?
