CFDA Accessories Award Winner Reed Krakoff’s Top Shoes & Bags

Reed Krakoff won the Accessory Designer of the Year at the CFDA Awards Monday night, and rightfully so. Working with rich leathers, strong colours and architectural lines, Reed Krakoff is a stand-out accessory designer. Here are five of our favorite designs from the CFDA Award winner.

One of our favourites from the designer is the yellow shoulder bag. This bag is a great neon yellow, which is perfectly on trend for summer like we’ve seen on Elizabeth Banks and as an accent on Kristen Stewart’s MTV Movie Awards Dress. This leather bag would add a great hit of colour to any simple outfit, be it jeans and a t-shirt or a pretty summer dress. Also dramatic for the use of neon yellow is the yellow and nude heel. The shoe is a fun redesign of a simple nude heel, adding a pop of yellow to the back strap and the heel.

We also love the bigger bags designed by Reed Krakoff. The large boxer bag pictured would be the perfect everyday bag, and combines great style and usability. The burnt orange paired with the cream and brown add a fun touch to the otherwise proper design.

What girl doesn’t need a simple clutch purse? We think the pretty cherry coloured clutch bag from Reed Krakoff’s collection is a great choice. The easy style of this clutch makes it so versatile and the deep cherry colour would easily transition it to many seasons. Finally, we’re in love with Reed’s wide cuffed coral sandals. Coral has been all over the place this season, with celebrities like Diane Kruger and Jessica Chastain wearing the summery colour. The pretty coral and nude tones on these shoes combine perfectly and make a great summer sandal, and the thickness of the cuff gives just the right amount of drama.
