Jeanne Beker, Dina Pugliese, Trish Stratus and many more Canadian celebrities strutted on the catwalk for Dare to Wear Love 2012. The show raised money for the Stephen Lewis Foundation, and was an astounding success.
The annual gala fashion show and fundraiser closed World MasterCard Toronto Fashion Week with a bang. Hoax Couture designers Jim Searle and Chris Tyrell began Dare To Wear Love in 2009 by asking 24 of Canada’s top designers to create outfits using 6 yards of African cloth. This year, the show was their biggest yet with celebrities, performances and designs by David Dixon, Evan Biddell, Lucian Matis and more.

Money raised by the event goes to fund organizations which work with people living with HIV/AIDS in Africa.
This year’s event was truly a celebration of life, love and of course fashion. Real Style Network was a proud sponsor, supporting fashion icon Jeanne Beker who walked down the runway in a custom Greta Constantine design. Watch our highlights from backstage and the runway:

The show looks like it was a lot of fun, I have never seen a runway model literally pick up someone from the audience!
Congratulations to Alexis Campbell, Fashion Designer of the Year 2011, at BB Fashion Week! Her collection was a true dislpay of amazing style, skill, and craftsmanship! I am excited to see more designs from this amazing young Barbadian designer!
