The stars were out as celebrities slipped into their finest gowns for last night’s Golden Globe Awards. We applaude all of the night’s winners and now it is our turn to name the winners of our Best & Worst dressed at the Golden Globes. Here are our picks:

The Best

Mother and actress Jessica Alba looked beautiful in this lilac gown from Gucci. Accessorized with Giuseppe Zanotti shoes, Bulgari jewels, and a Roger Vivier bag, we couldn’t keep our eyes off of her pretty outfit.

Angelina Jolie looked stunning and statuesque as she accompanied Brad Pitt in this two-tone Atelier Versace gown. We love that Angelina matched her red clutch and lips to the striking red accent colour on the dress for a head turning look.

It should be no surprise that presenter and supermodel Elle Macpherson was one of the best dressed of the night. This stunning cream Zac Posen gown was a feminine and luxurious look on the beauty. Paired with Lorraine Schwartz jewelry, Elle had winning attire.

The Worst

While Jessica Lange did win Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Miniseries, or TV Movie for her role on tv’s new hit series American Horror Story, her dress was another story. The long black dress was a bad fit on the actress bunching up and clinging where it shouldn’t have. It also needed some colourful accessories to liven things up.

Presenter Piper Perabo was lost in the huge skirt on her nude ball gown. She seemed overwhelmed by the voluminous sheer skirt on the dress as she walked the red carpet trying to control it for photographers.

While she made our best dressed list last year, this year the look didn’t come together for  Best Actress In A TV Drama winner Claire Danes. The J. Mendel black and white column dress she wore didn’t suit the slim star.
