Last night, actress Cate Blanchett went glamourous in Geneva in this black dress from Givenchy by Riccardo Tisci at the launch party for watchmakers IWC. This black halter satin peplum dress was a bold choice for the Aussie star, who we will see later this year as she reprises her role of Galadriel in The Hobbit, and it paid off! We love the interesting cut of this little black dress. Thanks to the contrast of her pale complexion and blonde hair this all black outfit doesn’t seem too dark.

She kept it black head to toe with matching black and gold bangles and black sandals.
