Known for their über feminine gowns and romantic draping detailing we could think of no better opinion than that of Canadian design duo Kirk Pickersgill and Stephen Wong of Greta Constantine to weigh in with their tips for festive holiday style for every occasion.
1. The Office Party: A knee length dress can give you the sophistication and elegance you were looking for. An office party is a great way to show off your fun side. So, keep it fun by wearing bright shades such as teal, orange, red, etc.
2. The Cocktail Party: An asymmetrical dress can make you feel flirty without having to reveal too much. An off the shoulder or one-shoulder dress can definitely create an interesting look that is flirtatious for a cocktail party.
3. New Year’s Eve: As much as we love sequins, you don’t need to wear an abundance amount of bling to standout. Simply wearing a dress you feel confident and beautiful in should make you shine. We recommend that you play around with shapes and a drape that is figure flattering to you.
Shop for Greta Constantine at Holt Renfrew in Canada, Harrod’s in London or their capsule collections at Danier Leather.

I agree that wearing colour to an office party is the way to go, you can’t be too sexy or show too much skin but something in a great bold colour (even something very conservative) will make you feel good and stand out.
