PETA is trying to make peace with the fashion industry by holding off on protests in favour of information sessions and parties with fashion students. The first session will include Lindsay Rajt of PETA and Tim Gunn of Project Runway. [SCPR]
Elie Tahari is launching his first jewelry line, T Tahari. The line will go on sale this fall including earrings, necklaces, rings and brooches. Prices will range from $28 to $300. Elie previewed the line on The View this week as a part of their Fashion Friday segment. [WWD]
Designer Christian Lacroix is debuting his furniture line this week at Salone del Mobile in Milan. The line includes chairs, sofas, lamps and carpets based on 18th and 19th century styles. The pieces are made of leather, French fabrics and mosaics from an Italian mosaic company, Sicis. [WWD]
