Whether you call it tan, beige or off-white, the new skin shade colour or Nude is THE fashion trend colour of the upcoming season.
Recently at the awards, red carpet fashion showcased by the dazzling celebs has shown us that the pale tone of nude (beige, light pink, light salmon, light taupe) is a popular fashion trend with a variety of fashion designers in every type of gown.
While some people might be scared that wearing nude will make them look pale or washed out, this can be a colour that anyone can embrace. Nude shades range from light mocha or golden shade like Sandra Bullock’s People’s Choice gown to an off white complimenting many skin types. Best to put the garment you are considering next to your skin to see how it goes with your individual complexion. As with any fashion trend, make a look your own first!
Neverthess, you can think of the nude colour, fashion trend as the new black. It’s a neutral which means that you can dazzle up a nude coloured outfit with colourful, sparkling accessories, a hot pair of brightly coloured pumps or dramatic make-up, like House actress Jennifer Morrison did with her red lipstick on the Red Carpet. Show your style however you want. Mary J. Blige chose a Gucci dress for The People’s Choice Awards that has an embellished shoulder for some extra bling.
You can add the colour to your wardrobe in other ways. A pair of nude pumps can compliment a bright gown, a nude shirt with a blazer over top or a hobo bag are all easily worked into your existing wardrobe. This will provide a quick new update for your wardrobe without breaking the budget.
