We recently reported that Zac Posen has an affordable line, Z spoke, that will be sold at Sak’s Fifth Avenue. But with items starting at $78.00 for a t-shirt and going well into hundreds of dollars for other apparel , Z spoke is not inexpensive. Now, Posen is following on the footsteps of Uber successful fashion designer capsule collections created for the likes of H&M and Target, like Alexander McQueen and Jean-Paul Gaultier, and has announced that he will be designing a limited collection line for Target.
His limited edition collection for Target will be available next spring from April 25th to May 30th online and in most stores in the US. As a part of Target’s Go International series this line is expected to range in the $15 to $150 price bracket. Considering that this celebrity favorite designer sells garments under his own label from $900 to over $10,000.00, this is going to be quite the steal. Interestingly enough the capsule collections have been quite pretty and have caused huge buying sprees (Matthew Williamson and Jimmy Choo”s come to mind), so Posen might have a big winner here. This isn’t Zac Posen’s first Target line. In Fall 2008, he created a line for Australian Target featuring red-carpet gowns, short dresses and tailored pants.
