One of our favorite French designers is Alber Elbaz, the designer for the house of Lanvin. Elbaz who had previously worked with Geoffrey Beene and Yves St.Laurent has been the artistic director at Lanvin since 2001.

The style evokes a 40′s feel with exagerated shoulder, fitted jacket and belted waist. The modern twist comes in the form of the architecturally draped,slit skirt.
