Holt Renfrew Canada paid tribute to fashion bloggers with their window displays and held a fun soiree for Scott Schuman aka ” The Sartorialist”. Shuman was one of the first to create a fashion blogger genre by taking snaps of the fashionable New York City street crowd. The uber popular photographer and writer has become the fashion industry favorite and has just published a book of his work.
Also spotted in the crowd, was Tommy Ton, Canada’s own fashion blogger and the writer of the Jak and Jill blog. Here’s a look at what the stylish crowd wore:

I had never heard of The Sartorialist but I checked out is site, very fun and cool.
Looks like a fun event. Can’t wait to see more photos. Love the shoes.
he looks drunk
I LOVE the Sartorialist. His eye for capturing personal style is incredible.
P.S. I also love fedoras. Glad to see they were out in full force
Love the fedoras too! The Sartorialist does look a bit drunk but hey, he is having a good time. We all need to cut loose sometimes. I love his blog, it is great to see “real people” style.
It’s great to see Holt Renfrew recognize the blogging industry. What a great venue for this type of event in addition to fabulous shopping!
I was there! Scott was totally drunk and kept rambling on at the podium..the drink never left his hand. Also the crowd got pretty loud and kept having to be whistled into quiet so that the press could hear ( and make out) Scott’s speech.
As for fashion….nothing great, most people there were trade or media. One lady didn’t get the memo though, she looked like an upside down wedding cake, buffant hairdo in place, she stuck out like a sore thumb.
It was fantastic to meet him! Such a nice and interesting man!
