Wow, Blair’s Kanye West moment at the awards ceremony was a nice little icing on her low-brow cake. Would’ve loved if they would’ve had it been even slightly more obviously a Kanye-like but I think everyone got the idea…i laughed for sure while also cringing. A Kanye song at that moment would’ve just been the best but oh well…

Still there was some great music in this episode, I love Sleigh Bells and it was awesome to hear “End of the Line” when Blair was trying to have FIT showcase her collection and then Dan asks her to be his date to the award ceremony.

“What viewers don’t realize is that the pricing showcased on the show of $40,000 to $50,000 for renovation are only for three or four rooms previewed during the hour. The whole house is actually renovated but because time constraints, to renovate the entire house for the audiences watching in one hour would be too much information. After the viewing parts are fully renovated, the team goes back to the rest of the house to ensure buyers have their dream home.”

I totally agree, Donna. It amazes me how some people list their home and allow realtors to show it to prospective buyers when it is filthy and messy. I’ve shown houses with dirty dishes on the kitchen table, counter, and in the sink – with half-eaten food that had clearly been there for over a week.

Rhonda, I sold real estate for years, and I can assure you that it was not unusual to show messy houses. Some were worse than messy – they were downright gross & disgusting. While I know staging does go on for some of these TV shows, I would bet money that the messiness of the houses on this show is not staged.

I thought the same thing! Couple in the last show I watched was left with disgusting carpets and bathroom upstairs and a beautiful modern downstairs. Does this make sense?

The homes are not always at the top of the homeowners budget. I recently saw one where after buying the home, they still had a remodel budget of just over $200,000.
