Justin Bieber is under fire for allegedly lighting up a joint, at least if you believe the rather candid photos of the singer holding what looks like a burning blunt on TMZ. See the revealing Justin Bieber marijuana photos here! The photos were snapped while Justin was at a party at his Newport Beach hotel just after New Year’s. JB looks like he’s having a great time, but he’s also very noticeably holding a big joint or rolled cigarette of some sort… and given that there are multiple photos, it’s going to be difficult for him to argue that he was just holding it for someone else. We’ll give him the benefit of the doubt though: It could very easily be a miniature cigar. Hey, like Justin, we’re Canadian, and we’ve been to Cuba enough to know that you can buy some pretty sweet cigars in very tiny sizes… We’re just saying!
But the idea of Justin Bieber, a marijuana user? Say it ain’t so! We know his pal Rihanna has never been shy about her love of marijuana, but given the age of Justin Bieber’s fan base, parents around the world are definitely concerned after the alleged Justin Bieber marijuana photos went viral this week, just days after they were snapped on January 2nd (it’s of note that January 2nd was just a day after a photographer was killed following Justin Bieber’s car after he thought he saw the “Baby” singer smoking marijuana while driving… Justin wasn’t even in the car, however). We know, we know, Justin is just a kid, and he should be allowed to make mistakes. Throw in the fact that he’s Canadian, which means he’s already legal drinking age in parts of his home country, and it’s hard to give the Biebs a hard time about it. The issue is, however, that whether Justin likes it or not, he is a role model for young kids. They’re the ones who buy his albums and attend his sold-out concerts. When was the last you and a bunch of your work colleagues caught a JB concert together after a long day at the office? Exactly.
Justin Bieber hasn’t officially responded to the marijuana photos on TMZ, but he did allude to the incident (we think) in this blog post: “”Everyday growing and learning. Trying to be better. U get knocked down, u get up,” the 18-year-old pop star wrote on the micro-blogging site Jan. 5. “I see all of u. I hear all of u. I never want to let any of you down. I love u.”
Justin also tweeted: “I’m ready. We are ready. See u all tomorrow and everyday after that,” he tweeted. “Back on tour tomorrow. Ready to see u all smile. Time to do what I’m supposed to be doing. Performing.”
The Justin Bieber marijuana photos are definitely the biggest scandal to rock 2013 so far. That’s good for Kate Middleton, at least, since she had the most controversial photo scandal of 2012! Leave it to Biebs to get 2013 started off on a scandalous high note. We kid!
