January 9, 2012
Kate Middleton celebrated her 30th birthday this past January, celebrating with an intimate dinner party with close friends and family. The night before, she and Prince William hit the town for the London premiere of War Horse, marking the beginning of Kate’s phenomenal year as a style icon. Lupo, Kate and William’s black cocker spaniel, is rumoured to be the present Prince William gave his wife for her big 3-0.
March 19, 2012
Kate gave her first solo speech as a member of the Royal family at the children’s hospice The Treehouse in Ispwich, Suffolk.

Kate and William began the celebrations for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year, her 60th year on the throne, with a Diamond Jubilee Concert at Buckingham Palace, with stars like Sir Paul McCartney to Cheryl Cole.

Kate Middleton and Prince William must have been shocked in July when Australian magazine Woman’s Day got their hands on photos of their super private honeymoon and published them for all the world to see.

July-August 2012
At the end of July, the Olympic celebrations kicked off in London, and Kate Middleton made multiple public appearances in support of the British team and London 2012 Olympic Games in general, which ran from July 27 July until August 12.

Kate Middleton made sure her presence was just as known at the Paralympic Games, which followed the Olympics, running from August 29 until September 9. Kate and William, along with Harry, were official ambassadors and turned out in support of all the athletes.
September 2012
Kate Middleton and Prince William embarked on their once-in-a-lifetime trip to Asia to Singapore, Malaysia, Tuvalu and the Solomon Islands, on behalf of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. Unfortunately, in the midst of their adventure, photos of Kate sunbathing topless in France were published by French magazine Closer and also by Italian magazine Chi. The Royal couple responded with legal action but held their heads up high and continued on their tour.

The Palace confirmed that Kate Middleton is indeed pregnant with her first child after the Duchess was hospitalized for morning sickness. We know this isn’t exactly the way Kate had intended to announce her pregnancy to the world, but we’re excited for the Royal couple nonetheless.
