Jon Bon Jovi has yet to comment regarding his 19-year-old daughter’s arrest after an alleged heroin overdose on Wednesday night. Stephanie Rose Bongiovi’s friend Ian S. Grant called the police on Wednesday saying that Stephanie had overdosed on the terrifying substance and was not responding. Police arrived at Hamilton College, where Bon Jovi’s daughter is a student, and found Stephanie in possession of heroin and marijuana, as well as drug paraphernalia. Although the cops charged Stephanie with three misdemeanors, the charges were dropped on Thursday.
Bon Jovi has not released a statement yet, but given that he and his wife Dorothea are very close with their children (Stephanie is the oldest, but she has three younger brothers, age 17, 10 and 8), we can imagine the tragic incident is extremely heartbreaking. Above is a photo taken of Bon Jovi and his family during happier times less than a year ago. Stephanie is on the far left beside her dad. Bon Jovi’s wife Dorothea is on his right, and the two youngest members of the family, Jacob and Romeo, stand in front of Jon, Dorothea and Stephanie. This photo was taken just last December at the Tribeca Film Institute’s Benefit Screening of New Year’s Eve. We hope that Jon and Dorothea can stay strong through this ordeal and help get Stephanie back on track.
